Buffing, Polishing, Cutting are all terms for Paint Correction. It is a far cheaper way of restoring your paintwork to ‘near new’ condition compared to getting a respray on the vehicle. Paint Correction is highly labor intensive with the decontamination process taking roughly 1hr and the actual correction of the paint taking anywhere from 4 hours to 20hrs+. Budget, expectations and previous condition as well as the different types of paint systems all contribute to the cost of the job, the time it takes and the results that can be achieved.

  • Paint Enhancement

    Small: $250 | Medium: $330 | Large: $420

    A Paint Enhancement involves using a hybrid cut, polish, and wax compound, also known as a 3-in-1. This compound is specially formulated to perform a quick cut following by a thorough refining stage whilst simultaneously applying a wax/sealant which greatly increases gloss. This allows for a quick and inexpensive method of correction which can provide quality results whilst keeping the paintwork protected. We have found this to be the most cost effective paint correction for pre-sale details.

    PLEASE NOTE: This is not real paint correction and will not permanently remove all swirling, only a portion of it. The wax helps to hide a small percentage of defects in the paint and after the wax has deteriorated, the remaining defects will return.

  • Single Stage Paint Correction

    Small: $400 | Medium: $450 | Large: $500

    Also known as a 1-step or single step paint correction, a single stage paint correction involves one thorough pass with a DA polisher and a foam pad to apply a mild cut without sacrificing any gloss or clarity. The compound used is a hybrid which allows the cutting abrasives to quickly breakdown into finer polishing abrasives, resulting in a great reduction of swirling and other defects with a full clarity finish. You can expect to see a great reduction in the amount of swirling in the paintwork however, results will differ depending on original paint condition, severity of swirling, oxidation, clearcoat origin and other factors.

  • Dual Stage Paint Correction

    Small: $700 | Medium: $750 | Large: $850

    Also known as a 2-step or cut and polish, the dual stage paint correction involves 2 main stages, with a few other sub stages. We first begin with a heavy cutting stage, either by wool/microfiber or in extreme cases with sanding. This is then followed up with a refining or polishing stage. This can consist or 1-3 sub steps, each refining process getting finer and finer depending on the softness of the paint. This process allows us to remove almost all defects from the paintwork depending on the overall condition and how much original clearcoat is left. if you have RIDS (Random Intermittent Deep Scratches), this should be noted in the inspection process. These are usually caused by branches, keying, debris in the wash mitt and much more.
